THRESHOLD maintenance keys
The official promotional image shows a three-key Chase objective. Find a key, complete the pickup, take it to the exit and check the deposit. A carried key and a registered deposit are separate states.

A repeatable key run
- Read the number of keys your current round requires. The inspected promotional image shows 3, but the live objective takes priority.
- Locate the exit and remember its approach. Search one area at a time; mark the areas you had to abandon during a chase.
- Complete the pickup prompt. Community walkthroughs show a Hold E interaction on PC; use the prompt for your own device.
- Bring the collected key back and complete the exit interaction. Check its counter before leaving for another key.
- Repeat for the remaining requirement, then use the exit and check the actual run result.
When progress seems stuck
| Current state | Next action |
|---|---|
| 0/3 and no pickup | Search an unchecked area rather than retracing the same completed sweep. |
| Prompt visible, key not acquired | Stay in range and finish the hold; a tap may not complete it. |
| Key carried, exit count unchanged | Use the door’s deposit interaction and inspect the result. |
| Counter complete, still in the map | Complete the final escape interaction. A counter alone is not a victory award. |
Reorient after pursuit
Community reports describe barrel hiding where a hide interaction is available. Use that pause to locate your next landmark and watch the approach before leaving. Hiding and silence do not establish a safe route; keep the exit or unfinished sweep as your next task.
After an encounter, inspect the carried-key state and exit progress. Return to deposit a key if you still have it, or resume the interrupted search if you do not. Do not assume keys persist after death or vanish after every scare.
Recognize the objective
This official promotional image displays FIND 3 MAINTENANCE KEYS and the microphone warning. It illustrates the task; it does not show guaranteed key locations.

Search method and co-op calls
No fixed spawn map is established by these sources. Keep a consistent sweep, remember the exit, and use landmarks for the return trip. In co-op, describe whether the key was found, carried or deposited; those calls give teammates different information. This is route-planning advice, not a claim about hidden spawn rules.
Common questions
Where are all three keys?
Use the current round’s objective and sweep accessible areas. The guide does not claim fixed spawn coordinates.
Are maintenance keys the same as password papers?
No. Keys use an exit deposit; the Scrow mall run uses a password keypad.
Source notes
This maintenance-key route does not establish fixed spawns or death persistence; inspect the present pickup and deposit states.
